CILMI, THOMAS Republican 3,592 59.53% NOLAN, PATRICK W Democratic 1,598 26.48% Independence 220 3.65% Working Families 184 3.05% Total 2,002 33.18% MOLNAR, TIMOTHY G Conservative 440 7.29% Cilmi's winning big and Beedenbender is down. Republicans took Smithtown across the board. They're up 4 of the six board seats in Brookhaven, and the 2 council seats in Islip. What a day to be a Republican! |

Obama helped so many Dems last year; this year the opposite. He better right the ship by 2010 or the LI Congressional delegation may be in trouble.

Muratore won! All districts reporting, Muratore defeated the incumbent Brian Beedenbender 51.2% to 48.73%

Stopped in at Dem Election Night headquarters at IBEW on my way back from a Nassau Co event... BOE results are trickling in ever so slowly, and it looks like
there will be only a handful of upsets.
This was a very disappointing election day for me: I wrote in more names than I pulled levers for, and I was all over the map. We've got to stop the five party boss cabal and their crazy cross-endorsements... We are getting exactly the second class quality of gov't we diserve for being so lazy and mindless.
