So you think you can write? Well, even if you're not the next Walt Whitman, that's okay. What I'm looking for are real stories written about anything have to do with Long Island from Long Islanders. You can submit essays, memoir, poetry, journalism, opinion. Photos, too. Don't worry, I'll edit it for style and space. But please aim for under 1000 words.
The goal is to create a fun, eco-friendly magazine that hits thousands of your neighbors with interesting items they would like to read. Use your imagination.
All accepted writers receive a free gold-level subscription to the magazine. Every writer gets a byline, too. No anonymous pieces accepted.
First deadline is 9/27. Just sit down and start writing, or submit some of your previously unpublished work.
