I am really steamed. Considering boycotting Tanger Outlet Center. The outlet center is expanding again!

The stores that are there now are having a hard time surviving, what are they going to do with a 3rd outlet?
Besides the new one opening up in Deer Park is going to put a hurting on this one too.. isn't it? |

I dont get it either. A source from a Riverhead advisory committee said the cleared site is NOT owned by Tanger. Seems kind of odd considering it's between the two outlet centers. Either way Tanger is still a terrible design.

I called the Town on that .They were clearing that land on the monday of I think Presidents day because the town was closed.I saw it while they were clearing it.
I was told it had all the permits and they hadn't used them It is not the protected area.It is the land behind the Apts when you come in off of 25.In between I and 2.The protected land for those little salomanders next to 2. Oh yea they did renew the permits. Laurie |

Could be more parking, it was crazy on black Friday. I myself hardly ever shop there... heck, I can't even remember the last thing I bought there.
I usually go there hunting for a certain item and end up finding it for much less $$ someplace else. I just don't see any bargains and don't understand all the attraction this Tanger Outlet gets? I always pit Office Max against Staples for my office products, and lately Staples has been winning! xxx |

I beg to differ. I was there a few days before Valentines Day and the place was mobbed! I remember thinking to myself 'what the hell are they giving away?' I had to circle around and around just to find a spot, any spot! And as soon as I left, it was instantly retaken.

Must have been some kind of special sale day, when were you there? I'll find out and tell you why it was so busy. On regular days the parking lots are so empty you can have a baseball game there or a cricket match.

After checking my date book, it was Valentines Day that I went to Tanger. They didn't have the perfume I wanted for my wife "D&G-The One" because it was "too new". I ended up finding it at Macy's in Hampton Bays.

See? No wonder it was so busy then.
Look at the bright side Nostra, at least you weren't in DC the day before Valentine's Day. Who knows they might have linked you to Spitzer. It's all good. |

When I called the Town to ask about them knocking down trees behind the Apts .I was told that they were building a Store.One store it was NOT going to be an outlet.
When I said that I don't remember hearing anything about them getting the permits .I was told that they had permits and never used them.That was were they wanted to put the restaurants that were turned down.So they just renewed the permits and I guess sumitted other plans. I guess I blinked because all I remember is that they wanted to put the stupid restaurants and I don't remmeber anything else.CRS I guess! Laurie |

Remember the trolley? You know, the one that was going to bring all those Tanger shoppers downtown to get a bite to eat? What a joke! I seriously think that we should knock down Town Hall and put up a parking lot, with Phil inside, we would all be much better off!
