(10/15/09) UNIONDALE - The Long Island Press is reporting New York Islanders owner Charles Wang is pulling the plug on the Lighthouse Project.

The paper says lack of funding may have killed the multibillion dollar proposal.

We now have the Freeport lifeguards complaining they were being videotaped in the room they changed their clothes. Seems to be a dispute as to where they should have been changing their clothes. In any case, the camera is in the ceiling for anyone to see. It is your typical eye - in - the sky camera. Oh, my, God,a camera in the ceiling !!!

Suozzi said many times that this was for safety not for money. In todays newsday he is taking two cameras down because they lay in the village area which means the village would get the money. County Executive Tom Suozzi in yesterdays newsday came out and blames the economic woes of the nation, the economic woes of New York State and Tom Gulotta for all of Nassaus problems. Now I know Gulotta was not the greatest but he did leave a 26 million dollar surplus when he left office. The county comptroller can verify this. Suozzi has mismanaged the county 100%.
